It’s exciting to have a relaxing time outside after the lockdown isn’t it?
Summer is already here and its just the perfect opportunity to spend time and see the now less-polluted nature of the Philippines. Skies are more visible, oceans are clearer than ever, mountainous features of the country can now be seen by the naked eye, and the air is now healthier for just taking a deep breath. This is just the perfect time to plunge and explore some tourist spots during summer season.
So, let me guide you to have an outlook to one of the worthy places to spend summer season: Tayabas City, Quezon.  Tayabas is also known as the City of Festivals because of its colorful festivals. The city has many interesting places such as heritage houses and heritage landmarks, which makes it necessary to have just as many resorts for tourists to stay in during their immersion. Here are some of the best resorts in Tayabas.

KAMAYAN SA PALAISDAAN HOTEL, RESORT, AND RESTAURANT

This is actually an offshoot of the famous Kamayan sa Palaisdaan, found along the Tayabas-Lucban Road. The restaurant made its name for serving very fresh fish (caught before your eyes) in nipa huts actually located in the middle of the pond where the fish are raised. Be careful, though; unwary tourists have been known to take a header into the pond! The resort itself has a pool, trekking, and campsite facilities. It is a little pricey, but the food is good.

GRACELAND ESTATES

Graceland Estates & Country Club is a lavish 11-hectare development inside a 22-hectare property located along the eco-tourism district of Tayabas, Quezon. Graceland is one of the higher-end resorts in Tayabas, designed as a resort for those who want to experience nature without roughing it. The place is bristling with sports accommodations including a golf training range and swimming pools. It also has a large lagoon where visitors can take a boat ride and a full complement of trees in keeping with its aim to preserve the natural contours of the area. It is surprisingly affordable.

MI CASA EN TAYABAS HOTEL AND RESTAURANT

Literally translating to My House in Tayabas, this is actually more a hotel than a resort. It is a 6-story hotel furnished in the style of the Spanish colonial times with a modern twist. It is located in the city itself so it is easy to get around if you are there for the sights. The accommodations are standard and reasonably priced even for the locals.

NAWAWALANG PARAISO RESORT AND HOTEL

The name itself is intriguing (Nawawalang Paraiso means Lost Paradise), but it isn’t all that hard to find. It is located in Barangay Camaysa and takes full advantage of the natural cold springs in the area to supply the swimming pools and make a stay in any of the cottages a pleasure. It is a little pocket of nature preserved on the foothills of Mount Banahaw, close enough to Tayabas and public transport to be convenient for backpacking tourists. It is very affordable to stay overnight, but you can also choose to just spend the day for a minimal fee.

Located in Barangay Silangang Palale, the resort features, as the name implies, the area’s hot springs instead of cold, and contains sulfur. It is the ideal place for those who want a little therapeutic R and R. It is dubbed “The first and only Hot Spring in Quezon.” It has many swimming pools of varying sizes and shapes as well as a sauna for those who wants to amp the temperature even more. It is a place for visiting during the day, but it has no overnight accommodations.
