Experience Lipa City


Officially the City of Lipa is a first class city in the province of Batangas and 3rd coldest city in the Philippines. It is one of the three cities in Batangas aside from Batangas City and Tanauan City.

It is located 78 kilometers south of Manila, from Alabang to Lipa City it is almost 45 mins only because of CALABARZON Express Way.

The city is also the residence of Fernando Air Base, headquarters of the Philippine Air Force's Air Education and Training Command (AETC), well-known in military circles as the Baguio of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The summer camp of the Air Force of the Philippines.

So since we are in Lipa City, let's talk about LOMI! For your information, Lipa City is the home of Original LOMI. Curious of how it is made? It is cooked using raw noodles, cassava mixed with water, beaten egg, salt and pepper, meat, liver and all other ingredients that makes it delicious and more appetizing.

Though, there are a few documented by the Lipeños, like Renfel, Kids Lomihouse, LBN, Beegees and Liam's to mention a few.

GOTO is also a well-liked recipe. It is typically composed of cow's insides.This is a bowl of hot soup with beef, tripe, entrails and blood, extra with fish sauce and calamansi with chili. Uhhhmmmm. Yum!

However, due to the invasion of culture from nearby provinces, Lipeños also enjoy other province's modern recipes like Sisig of Pampanga and Bicol Express of Bicol. Due to Lipa's so called "food trend", several food courts have been established. You can locate Dayton Food Court, Metro South Zone, Bojok's, and several other fast food outlets.

Milea Bee Farm is a bee farm wherein you can see the bees and their habitat, you can also watch and learn on how they produce honey. It is situated in a secluded area in Kurba Rd, Lipa City with no neighbors and without electricity, and it's a five-minute walk from the parking area. You can also taste natural honey from there hives. Milea Bee Farm is only open to visitors every first Saturday of the month.


Casa de Segunda is an ancestral house of Luz-Katigbak Clan, you can see an old house from the outside. You can explore the house but you need to pay 50 pesos each person. You can see the some ancient utensils, vintage furniture and photos of the Luz-Katigbak family. The design of the house itself showed that they are known to be one of the most prominent family in Lipa City ages ago. The house is named after Segunda Katigbak, a beautiful lass who was the first love by no less than our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.
